Hi all,
Have been narrowing down places to stay in Tokyo with my wife (who is fairly certain she wants to stay in the Shinjuku area).
Looking at budgets and availability, it seems like we’ve narrowed it down to suites in either:
Hilton Tokyo – Which looks like about a 15 minute walk out from Shinjuku station, but apparently has pretty big rooms and decent views. That said, it’s a Hilton which seems boring.
Bellustar – Which looks way nicer of the two and has excellent reviews, location and views, but I’ve seen some complaints about the noise and the location itself being a bit gross.
Both are around the same price for the mid range suites (about 90k yen per night for Oct/November), the other options of the Kimpton and Keio seemed expensive for what they actually offered
We’re both in our mid 30’s travelling with no kids, but my wife does occasionally get some anxiety and I’m a lighter sleeper. She seems pretty locked on the area, but yeah, which would you guys pick? Mostly looking for bars, restaurants, and transport links which I think both should provide
(I’ve tried other areas, like Otemachi etc, but she seems locked on Shinjuku due to all the guides etc)
thanks!
