A month ago I was SO EXCITED and EAGER to book my first solo trip to Japan. But in these past two weeks, I don’t know if it’s the hundreds of articles and suggestions and advice and recommendations bombarding me on every platform, I suddenly feel so overwhelmed and tired of listening to the “best” and “right” place to go or things to do at every single day during my trip, with people even suggesting planning out every single hour to “optimize” your time when in Japan.
Is it normal to feel this way? My flight is in a few days and now it’s just a numb feeling like I’m ticking all the boxes to get it done and over with, which is the last mentality I wanted to feel when I first planned to go on this trip. I’ve decided to stop listening to every piece of advice I come across and stop planning out all the details, instead just wing the rest of my trip since I always prefer impromptu experiences anyway.
