Daimonji for tourist

Hello All,

I am lucky enough to be in Kyoto during the ceremony. I was hoping someone could offer advice on the best way to appreciate it as a foreigner?

I’d hope for something easy, and not bothersome to locals. Is there restaurants that take reservations?
