Moving to japan as a Chemical Engineer

Hi Everyone,

I'm 25 and a soon to be chemical engineer from a UK university. I have a British and an European passport and speak 3 languages (been in the UK for 4 years now and currently studying Japanese). I have worked here and there during and in between uni terms, easy jobs like amazon warehouses or production line. Last summer I worked in an electro-chemistry lab for one of my professors running a research on battery cathodes and gained a ton of invaluable experience from it.
I haven't been to japan yet but I'm planning to visit within the next year and if i like it to return a couple more times some time later
Now, I know life there is going to be about the same as here, hence the multiple visits. I've had this thought of moving there for a long time now and it's starting to look like the possibilities are there. But I'm not entirely out of my mind, i do realize that going there blindly is not a good idea.

I think that, while moving there is possible, I need act in advance in order to make my life easier later on. So here's my plan:

  • Graduate and keep studying Japanese
  • Get a job in any manufacturing/oil/carbon-capture or whatever in my field in the UK
  • Keep that job for some 4/5 years or jump jobs once or twice for pay bump
  • Occasionally travel for 1 to 2 weeks at a time to different locations in japan
  • Save up a lot money in the meantime (I am lucky to be owning a home so no rent/morgage)
  • Once I save up 50/70k £ look into jobs offers in japan
  • Hopefully get interviews
  • Hopefully a company decides to sponsor a visa for me
  • Find housing paid with saved up £
  • Move there with hopefully N2/N3 JLPT (I know, kinda unrealistic)
  • Enjoy life or not i guess

Note that I'm not new moving countries.
This is my loosely put together master plan. Please critique it and let me know if there is some unknown way for non software engineers to easily get in or there are issues in the way I am approaching this.

Thanks for your time 😀

EDIT: clarity and i forgot to end my sentences.
