I’m looking for some advice. I’m heading Ishigaki tomorrow. I was planning to get a Japanese driver’s license but things didn’t go as planned. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get around these islands without a car.
I’m flying to Yonaguni and taking a ferry to Iriomote, both from Ishigaki. How’s the bus system and are there bicycle rentals near the airport/ferry ports?
Also, how feasible is getting around Miyako on bicycle or should I rely on their bus system (if any)?
