Is anyone else having the issue of coming to the prefecture early and having to wait for their predecessor to leave before officially moving in? For context, I’ll be arriving to my prefecture on July 31st and my predecessor told me that they will leave August 6th. My PA told me I will need to either find private housing or find a hotel (which I will not be compensated for). Is this normal? So I essentially have to find a place to stay for a week until I am able to move in.
