Is JLPT (N2-N1) important for finding jobs on a working holiday?

My current job is a fixed contract that ends April next year, and I had planned to start a working holiday in May next year. I would prefer to do some technical IT jobs (have 5y experience) while on working holiday, but also open to general jobs, e.g. customer service roles.

I have missed the registration for JLPT test in my country for december this year, and the next test will not be until July next year. I feel like I can comfortably pass N2, and with some preparation, pass N1 also. My conversational skill should be ok as well, although not as used to keigo.

I am not sure how important JLPT certificate actually is for jobseeking in Japan as a foreigner on working holiday. I think my options are

1) delay my working holiday until July next year to complete the test in my home country. This could leave me 3 extra months without work potentially.

2) Take the test in Japan in July part way into my working holiday

3) not worry about JLPT altogether since I can communicate in japanese as needed, and hopefully land something after interviews.

Would like some advice on the best option here
