They’re letting me teach music. Looking for ideas.

I've been working at a private high school for the last 7 years teaching 50 minute conversation classes of about 15-20 students for high school first year. Because of the low student numbers, no JLT is present during the lesson. Starting this year, I'll be doing a 3-month course on music. It can be about anything in the realm of music; I just need to have practiced 20 vocabulary words on the subject by the end of the 3 months. The only experience I can offer is my skills in music production, with some basic knowledge of music theory and history. The room I'm teaching in is carpeted, has no desks but chairs in a semi-circle. The teacher's desk is in the corner to the side of a whiteboard with a projector. There are some nice Sony speakers mounted to the ceiling and everything hooks up to my laptop ready with Ableton Live. Students have iPad's (with garage band) pencil cases, folders and clipboards. Also, I can request apps on the app store which would be auto-installed onto their iPads. So what do you think? How can I make this lesson memorable even for the students who may not be interested in music? Thanks in advance!
