Is it normal to not really be able to differentiate between, say, ○んれ and ○んで in spoken Japanese? I have always had a really hard time saying the former when I think of it as such, but when I say the latter instead, it's somehow easier for me and, as far as I can tell, I sound the same as my audio examples of native Japanese. Thinking about it in terms of where the tongue is, the two seem to be identical to me, unless there is a subtle difference between where the tip of your tongue is placed? But for whatever reason, one is easier for me to think about and thus produce the sound for.
