About a week or two ago, I started watching as much older (yes people, mid 2000's-early 2010's is considered older now) New Japan, because I wanted to educate myself on its history, plus I found the vibe of the shows and the overall style dare I say enchanting and super cool.
Shin is one of if not my absolute favorites, but I have noticed that going into the new decade he's never been a top top guy ever again once he lost the title in May of 2010. From 2011 up until his departure 5 years later, he was almost exclusively in a tier below main event as the IC Champion. Granted, he still main evented occasionally, but it almost felt like he went from that John Cena/Randy Orton S-tier to Sheamus/CM Punk A-plus tier.
Why is this? Is Gedo hating CHAOS guys more than a gimmick lol?
