3.5M salary for 2YOE Engineer
Hi, I am a 24yo developer looking for a job. I have been offered a position in Japan with 3.5M yen as annual compensation. Is this justified?
I feel for an engineer with 2 years of full time experience this may be a little low. Also I would appreciate any tips on how to negotiate for a higher compensation with a Japanese recruiter.
Edit: besides the compensation I have housing and commute allowance which may not be a lot but is pretty decent. Including that the total would be 4M+
I’ve always wanted to work in Japan and coming from a middle class family this is a great opportunity for me to move to a foreign country without burning my parents’ savings. So I feel like I would take this offer unless a I get a better opportunity which seems unlikely in the current market.
