Bringing in the Contraceptive pill for a year’s + worth?

Hey all.

I’ll be moving to Japan for a period of time between 1 year to 18 months and was hoping to bring at minimum a years worth of my contraceptive pill into the country as it’s much harder and more expensive to get there.
I’ve scoured the internet but haven’t found anything similar of personal experience bringing this amount into the country. I see on their consulate website it says 1 month but some people say 3 months some say more some say less.
I’m looking for anyone who has had personal experience bringing this type of medication in bulk into Japan to give me some insight if possible please!
