I’m currently a second-year Computer Engineering student at Hogeschool Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and I’m really interested in studying in Japan for my minor. However, my university doesn’t have a partner agreement with any Japanese universities for exchange or minor programs.
Has anyone here been able to study abroad in Japan for a minor or exchange program as a non-partner student? I’ve looked into a few universities, but it seems like most only accept students from partner institutions. If you’ve done something similar, I’d love to hear about your experience.
Any advice or tips on how to go about this? Specifically, how do you find universities that accept "free movers," what are the challenges, and how did you manage the application process? I’d also appreciate any insights on potential costs, scholarships, or funding opportunities.
