Going to language school in japan?

Hello everyone, I am 19 turning 20 soon and recently I have gone through a really bad breakup with my girlfriend of 2 years who I genuinely thought I would marry. I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit as it is more of advice on what you guys think I should do or not do. I have always wanted to move to Japan and originally planned to go to college in Japan but put that aside since I did research and a lot of people say it is better to get a US degree then move to Japan. Overall my end goal is to move to Japan after I get my degree. I have studied Japanese for 4 years and I'm not fluent but am around the intermediate level. I overall lack conversation skills but can understand and watch native content while only not understanding more complex topics. Because of the breakup I feel I need to get away from this area for a while and kind of focus on my mental health. I have visited Japan before for a month and I know living isn't the same as a vacation. I have researched everything about Japan for over 4 years and basically know everything people usually say when someone wants to move to Japan after a vacation. I know all the good and the bad parts of Japan, and regardless I still love the country. Anyways that's the background, on to the question part.

I want to go to a language school as fast as possible for about a year-2 years but obviously can't because it is basically impossible to get a student visa in less than a month. So I was thinking of going for 3 months on a tourist visa instead. Now I have asked many friends and my brother for advice and some think it isn't a bad idea but my brother is hard against it. My dad might have to sell the house so I won't have this home to come back to, but I know if he does sell the house when I am gone I will be able to stay with a friend for atleast a couple weeks while I readjust to life here and find a apartment. Money isn't really a problem here I've worked and saved for a while and have a lot saved up so give any advice with the context that I can pay for it. Now I am currently in first semester of community college so I would have to take time off of finishing school to do this which will push back the overall goal of moving to Japan. But I feel this will also help me realize if living in Japan is really what I wanna do, kind of like a trial of living in Japan and it will get me better at the language. If I don't do the 3 month one I would have to wait until April or July to be able to do one that gets me a tourist visa. I feel as if doing this will improve my mental health even if just slightly since Japan has always been kind of a happy space for me so I want to do this as fast as possible but I also am not sure what I should do or if this is stupid given all the uncertainties. And no I do not romanticize Japan, I am well aware of its many flaws.

Now the real question and point of this thread is, should I do the 3 month one that starts in January or wait and do a year+ course? or should I not do either and just grind out school until I get my degree and then get a job in Japan?

The school would be KCP international or ISI Nagano because I don't necessarily wanna be in tokyo.

Any advice is welcome just don't be rude lmao. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Thanks!
