Hello, there’s a show in 8 hours. I’m probably going to sleep through it. But I have FOUR (really three that are real calls but I wanted additional context) calls! Here they are:
I. Shota Umino challenges ZSJ, at least HEAVILY sets up turn if he doesn’t outright do it.
Looking at Umino’s booking all four, it’s growing clear to me: They’re cooking. There’s an angle here. They’re playing up the boos, Umino going “Fuck it I know I’m gonna do it”, all of that stuff. After he beats SANADS, he’s gonna march out there, challenge Zack and very possibly debut his new more tweenerish/leaning heel direction.
II. Wato will be involved with Umino.
They’ve been teaming all tour, Wato has a new more sober look, I think he’ll be joining Umino and taking a similar directional shift.
III. Wato wins the belt.
Pretty basic call. Think it’s his time. Douki had a great first reign, he hands it off for Wato/Despy at the Dome.
IV. Ninja Mack turns heel.
They’ve been building a bit of a “Can they co-exist?” between Mack and DKC. They can’t. Mack joins a heel faction. Not Umino related.
So that’s it, right? No more, I mean the title said FOUR. I said FOUR earlier… well, while writing I remembered a fifth call. A real call. What some call a “Crazy White Boy Prediction”.
V. Jake Lee’s injury was a work, he’s with Umino’s faction.
This is a conspiracy. It’s a wild guess. Odds are low… but his BC gear had very little Bullet Club branding. Picked up on that in the G1. Just stickers on his knees. He’s never really fit the War Dogs vibe. They’ve done a worked injury last year with Kanemaru and Taichi. They also have never given us more details on Jake Lee, just that he’ll be missing the shows he was announced for. I don’t even think we know the exact injury. Maybe he did get hurt but like Narita it was a minor thing… consider this a gut feeling.
