People who left and moved back

Hello everyone, I am in a dilemma right now and I need some advice .
I did 1 semester in university for a 8 semester program and I didn’t like the course so I withdrawn from the university but now I’m having regrets and want to go back to but study a different course. I did complete all the necessary procedures of cancelling my visa and informed both my university and the immigration office of my prefecture and received my mail 2 weeks later.
Question is, is there going to be any problems getting issued a new COE henceforth a student visa ? I did contact my university and they say there won’t be a problem but as you all know everything in Japan takes tons of paperwork and time.
Thank you in advance :))

  1. Immigration isn’t going to hold a grudge just because you weren’t enjoying the program you were in. You followed the correct procedures to leave, so you’re fine. Worst case they’ll ask for an explanation for why you withdrew early last time but it won’t be a deal breaker.
