And it caught on. Two days ago, I realised that Netflix had Ghibli movies with JP subtitles in my region. Needless to say, I was very happy, and I got to re-watching all of the movies. Two movies later, midway through 猫の恩返し, I took a break and came back a day later. Then, all of a sudden, Netflix freezes and shows me a "You are using a VPN" screen (I wasn't.). I reboot the page, and all of the Ghibli movies are gone.
Did I fuck up with my browser cache, in some way, and end up with access to movies from another region? A week ago I tried using NordVPN with Netflix but I wasn't successful (the website works for a few minutes and then everything blows up). My VPN wasn't active. I don't turn off my PC, ever.

I never used Netflix myself, but I heard from many people who do, that VPN do not work anymore on Netflix since 2022/2023 or something…
yeah curse ye netflix. only reason i had vpn was to watch japanese netflix. Doesnt work anymore. Sad times.
No problem. I often switch countries multiple times per day over many years. Sometimes I get the vpn message, but restarting app and it is solved. I don’t think Netflix particularly cares about this. .
i notice you posted in an iphone sub, were you maybe using a mac with safari? the only thing i can think of is, if you were, icloud private relay may have something to do with it.
