Obviously, the main event in particular has gotten some flak for the length of the thing but I think it’s probably important to state that I don’t remember a Dome show where there hasn’t been similar complaints.
This edition is exacerbated by DOUKI’s injury taking about 15 mins off the Junior match that some tried to make up in other places which, in turn, make it plainer that the ladder match and the Women’s title match could each have done with another few minutes to breathe.
While this isn’t a “too many titles” complaint or anything like that, Wrestle Kingdom this year, like most year’s, is 1.5 shows worth of matches put into 1 show and someone always gets less time than they should as a result. The two night WKs had too many people doing double duty and while this Kingdom/Dynasty split did take one match from the card (HW Tag Titles), we could all do with something like Finlay-King not being on the Dynasty card and one of tonight’s matches having been on there instead. What can they do to improve matters in 2026?
