What are my chances in Japan?

I'm 42. I hold an undergraduate degree in Japanese, Linguistics with a minor in TESL. Have an MA in Applied Linguistics. 10 years experience teaching in Korean universities and 2 years experience teaching ESL in an American college.

I have neither published nor presented at a teaching conference. I passed the public licensure test to teach American public school but have not completed my licensure as I'm working at a college now.

I'm also married with a 5-year-old son and my wife is pregnant. I would like to move to Japan in three years and teaching ESL makes the most sense as my first job.

What should I focus on in the next few years to improve my chances and job prospects in Japan? I studied abroad in Japan for a year in college and interned in a Japanese company for 6 months. I did a Fulbright ETA in Korea as well.y Japanese is N3-N2 level as I got worse after living in Korea.

Other details, I have US citizenship and want to live in a rural part of Japan. I speak English (native), Korean (fluent) and Japanese (intermediate but studying again actively).
