Hello !
I'm a Canadian that will depart on a working holiday visa to Japan around this April.
I want to take this year to travel around the country and do farm or garden work. It's been a while (before Covid) since I have read about farm work in Japan, so I don't know how popular it still is now or how it has evolve. I've been to Japan for a total of 5 months now, so I want to see more about the "living" side of the country. I applied for an internship at d-matcha, without news sadly, but I would be curious to know if there is any other farm with a similar goal to theirs ?
Also, I just discovered Workaway, as a site to search farmstay. It seems free. Is it still worth it to pay for getting a WWOOF-Japan account ?
Do you have any info, recommendations or stories about the subject ? My level is probably around N4 advanced. I don't really care about getting paid, I really just want to travel from farm to farm around Japan.
Oh, and in case, I'm really interested by more craftsmanship work, like leather work, in case you got some information about this.
Thank you in advance and have a good day !
