Hello everybody, I suppose this forum isn't really meant for me to ask this (and it's even a little bit old) but I'm overthinking about the university choice of the Kansai Gaidai for a semester (fall semester) this year (2025).
The main things that worry me are insects and monotony.
As for insects, I'm afraid of wasp and all the similar ones that could sting or worse (I also might be allergic but I don't really have the chance to know it. Since in my country I'm not that used to insects (we have bees and wasps, but generally only in spring-summer and not very frequent in the city) but I'm still deadly afraid of them (especially, as I said, wasps), I wonder if the life in Hirakata, at the KGU, might be too challenging or risky in these terms.
About monotony, since I'm gonna stay – as probably lots of other people has done – for like 4-5 months, I wonder if there is enough chance, given the time needed to study (4-5 courses at the KGU in the semester) and attending lessons, to make some (like 1/week or more) trip to Osaka, Kyoto or Nara.
I am really greatful to anyone who could give me some answers, since I'm probably overthinking too much and I have short time to decide if it's suitable enough for me, given my fears.
