I am a visual communication designer who is planning to apply for the ALT position this year. However I have concern that how ALT position may impact my future career.
So I am currently employed as a graphic designer in a corporate setting which I joined as a fresher. And I was planning to switch to a more design focused work to gain more experience as in corporate there is not much of a growth as a designer. But I also really want to go to Japan.
As there will be a few years gap if I go to Japan for JET. I’m concerned if I’ll be able to find any work after even if I keep my portfolio updated. Also can I do freelancing in my free time while in JET?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
