Question About Kazei Shomeisho (課税証明書) and Nozei Shomeisho (納税証明書) for PR Application

Hello everyone,

I moved to Japan on June 10, 2022, and I am currently collecting documents for my Permanent Residency (PR) application. I recently went to a 7-Eleven convenience store to print my Kazei Shomeisho (課税証明書) and Nozei Shomeisho (納税証明書) using my My Number Card (マイナンバーカード), but I have some questions.

About Kazei Shomeisho (課税証明書):

I was only able to find two options for printing:

  1. 令和6年度(2024年度): This document shows my full income, deductions, etc., for the 2023 calendar year.
  2. 令和5年度(2023年度): This document shows my income and deductions for the 2022 calendar year.

I was expecting there to be another option for my 2024 income. Is this because the document for the current year is issued later in the year? Or am I missing something here?

About Nozei Shomeisho (納税証明書):

For the Nozei Shomeisho, I could only find one option: 令和5年度(2023年度). Shouldn't there be at least one or two more Nozei Shomeisho available for my tax payments in later years?

I want to make sure I’m not overlooking any documents needed for my PR application.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Or could anyone provide some insight into how these documents work?

Thank you for your help!
