I really liked the tour more than I expected.
We had a lot of fresh teams and great matches but also a lot of content and storyline progress.
The small buildups to Wrestle kingdom/Dynasty were great.
The final featured no Bishamon/TMDK, what was really surprising to me.
They built up Sanada – Gabe slowly through the tour with Gabe slowly approaching.
Not sure how I feel about Lij not even challenging for the title and instead go for a singles match, imo that reduces the value of the tag titles. Especially when they are vacant right now. But I guess it fits into the Lij „cocky tweener“ attitude. And it’s something new, so I’ll take it and see if it works.
Overall that was the best WTL in years for me. I’m happy they tried something new.
