1. I’m trying to write an apology to a friend that’s both sincere and appropriately casual (since she has asked me to speak/write to her in である体). For context I wrote her a letter that accidentally said Mrs instead of Dr

   This has been through a few revisions so I’m looking for any incorrect grammar I can fix

   でもちょっと謝りたいことがあるんだ。送った後に気づいたんだけど、宛名で「Dr.」じゃなく「Mrs.」と書いちゃったみたい。手紙を書くのが久しぶりで、混同しちゃったんだ。「friend’s name」が教授として研究や業績をちゃんと評価されているのが本当に素晴らしいことだね。申し訳ない！次回からはちゃんと「Dr.」宛に書くから、また手紙送らせてね！

2. i’ve read that games like pokémon or animal crossing are great for learners as they provide lots of written input at a relatively simple level.

   i have adhd so it’s definitely gonna be a lot easier for me to learn long term if i can use media asap instead of trying to grind anki or whatever.

   what level of knowledge do you think is required to get started with those games to be able to figure out most of the words by context like an actual young native speaker would? i am assuming something like N3- so, since i’m using lingodeer, that’d look like “once i finish all three of their courses”.

   is that correct?

3. I’ve been seeing the expression その前に quite frequently, and I have no idea what it means. There’s no definition for it in jisho, nor bunpro, nor any of the monolingual dictionaries I’ve checked.

4. can someone recommend a good YouTube learning series with a male sensei? I don’t want to sound kawaii I want to sound sugoi
