I often come across post by people who say they rep 20-50 cards but Ive never understood how people have the time to make all those cards so quickly on a daily basis. It takes me anywhere from 5-10 minutes to make a single card, so 10 cards could easily take up to an hour alone. I immerse for 4-5 hrs and make flashcards of all the important unknown words I encounter during that period. At the end of the day, I make my flash cards so that they are ready for the next day.
I watch anime on one tab(I download the episode on my laptop) and have text file of the subtitle file on another. When I encounter a sentence, I copy and paste that into my notes. At the end of the day, I copy paste sentence into the sentence filed, copy and paste definitions from yomichan and then the sentence audio from episode after I edit and import it in adobe player. I know people use morphman but lots of people still don’t and still seem to make flashcards at lightning speed .
This question is aimed at those who are no longer using premade decks
EDIT: I used to use migaku player alongside MVP and Kokoro Connect which would automatically copy the sentence audio and sentence onto anki, but this method no longer works on my laptop, so I’ve been adding cards manually for the past 2 years. I either make 2-5 cards everyday or do 20-30 in bulk every 4 to 5 days when I have time.
Also, rather than putting episode into a video like adobe and editing out and export the piece dialogue for my sentence, I sometimes upload the sentences to hi native and ask natives to pronounce them. In my experience, I find that pronunciation of words stick better if I can hear the sentence as I am repping the sentence
