I love Japan, have spent a lot of time in Japan. I don't speak the language and I'm not Japanese. I have no family connections to Japan. I have worked in Japan as Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services and have tens of millions of yen. Is there a retirement Visa scheme that allows me to buy a house and stay in Japan? I'm not expecting free money or anything beyond the usual healthcare benefits (I'm for now, a low burden citizen who runs in competitive races and weight lifts several times a week). Any advice on this topic?

Japan doesn’t have a “Retirement Visa”, nor one of those “Gold Visas” like Greece or Spain.
You can, as a foreigner, buy a house here, but that doesn’t give you any advantage in terms of staying here.
If you’re in Japan now then the best you can do is get permanent residence as soon as you’re eligible.
Japan does not have a retirement visa and if you have no family here (especially no citizen spouse) then you’d need to be working to get a work oriented status of residence.
Another leecher coming to bring burden to the healthcare system.
Edit: if he is working and paying a lot of taxes, i have no issues.
Work in Japan long enough to be able to apply for PR.
Real estate ownership doesn’t provide for any right of stay.
