are there people here who enjoyed learning Japanese because of anime (e.g. Kimetsu no Yaiba), then studied and got fluent (classes, immersion, books/videos) – possibly before that said anime released its next season, so that you understood a lot more by then?

wondered if there were folks like that. and if so, what was your experience like? if you circled back in time when you started, would you have done things differently?
