Being a Musician/Composer

For the past 6 months I have been living in Japan as an exchange student and I really love living here. In a little bit, I will leave Japan to come back to my country and graduate in my bachelor's degree in Japanese Language, Culture and Society.

My dream would be living in Japan and making music as a job, ideally as a composer for videogames/anime; it's probably not really realistic, but Japan and music are my 2 biggest passions and combining them would really make me happy, so I want to pursue this dream of mine.

What would you advice to do for achieving this, is there a specific way to get into the industry? Is there any specialized school/university that is also not too expensive or offers scholarships to foreign students? Is it easy to become an assistant to an already established composer?

For additional information, I am in my early 20s, my Japanese level is N3 (but it could easily become N2 in the next few months, if I keep studying at the same pace that I've been doing now) and I have been studying music since I was 10 years old; I've also composed music for indie games before, but non of them released yet.

Thanks to anyone who will take the time to read this and answer.
