With Umino having already having fought in the Wrestle Kingdom main event, Tsuji winning the Global Championship, Kidd having the match with Omega and now being positioned as a face of the *new* New Japan, Fujita winning the Jr. tag belts and Oiwa seemingly beginning his ascent, I wonder what the plans for Uemura are once he returns? When does he return? Who does he feud with immediately? I'd like to hear everyone's ideas!
As for me, I think the first half of his year goes like this:
- Return at The New Beginning to save/help Taichi
- Gets cheated in the New Japan Cup by SANADA
- Uemura vs. SANADA @ Sakura Genesis; Uemura wins and challenges Tsuji for the GHC
- Yota Tsuji vs. Yuya Uemura for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship @ Wrestling DONTAKU
