Translation nuance is just a tad off 💦
Genuine question – couldn’t JR East just tow one trainset to Ueno, and the other trainset to Omiya, and then disembark passengers at those stations? It seems that the trainsets are fine, just the couplers are not working as intended… doesn’t seem to need “rescuing” per se. Unless something’s lost in translation.
Do you think it’s due to too many tourists walking around inside the train while it is in motion?
