I'm currently studying in Australia (Victoria doing VCE year 12), final year of high school, and I'm interested in studying dentistry in Japan. I know I'm a bit late with the process (applications begin in September?) but I was wondering if you had any advice with how the course/industry is like in Japan? I was also thinking about if a bilingual dentist is something I could go for there?
I'm also concerned whether I'll be hitting the entrance requirements academically (I'm sitting at a 92 for VCE, or a 37 for IB so like somewhat above average)
I'm born in Japan, I have PR but no citizenship, have family living there and can speak and read Japanese fluently so those areas won't be of too much concern at the moment.
I'm also aware there are scholarships (such as MEXT) but I again I'm really not sure if I'm academically able for it, this is being probably my main concern that I'm not sure what I need to aim for because I don't know high the standards would be for international student entry. (In some universities I might be considered a returnee, will have to check.)
Sorry if these sound like stupid questions and thank you ðŸ˜
PS: my Japanese level is nowhere good enough to be on par with natives but I've studied up to Japan's 3rd year middle school level using the same textbooks at a local japanese school in Australia
