Is an introductory and concluding paragraph needed for your SOP do you think? I took them off because I ran out of space, I read that its not like a traditional academic essay, and I think it still flows fine. Not sure if that's a mistake or not though.
I think it make sense to have an intro and conclusion of some sort. It doesn’t need to be a big paragraph but a couple of sentences should suffice.
Lol you need those. It’s an essay. Those are crucial. You should work on word trimming&removing unnecessary info in the other paragraphs.
Intro: Why Japan/what got you interested in Japan and ultimately JET. Body: Experiences that illustrate why you are good for JET/what you bring to the table to benefit JET. Conclusion: What do you plan to do after JET/how JET will help you with your future goals. (I am currently on JET, and this is how I structured my SOP)
Yes put them in. Just a couple of lines are fine.
In the body I would give specific examples of how you’ll integrate your culture into lessons too. They really like that for the interview so its good to have one or two in your SOP. Makes it seem less generalized.
