American or British English?

I’m finishing up my application this weekend, and one lingering question I have about Japan’s English classes is if they tend to teach American or British English. I’m American, so that’s what I’m more familiar with, and I noticed that the subreddit uses the British spelling of program. Should I brush up on my Brit vocabulary?
