Hello guys, this question is aimed primarily to Latin-American living in Japan, but of course I would appreciate every piece of advice I could get.
I'm interested in working as a teacher over there, I've looking at posts here, videos, etc. and every one of them agree on the same: they only hire from English-speaking countries.
Now, I'm Mexican, but I have a C2 TOEFL certificate, 8 years of customer service experience, and I'm currently working as an English-Spanish interpreter, on top of that I'm going to start working as am English teacher in August, ideally for 1 year for the experience, but also to have some time to improve my Japanese and also get my bachelor's degree paperwork, and in the meantime get a TEFL/TESOL certificate. So i'm thinking this would take between 1 1/2 to 2 years.
So, my question is. Is it possible to be hired even if I'm not from one of those countries? Have you met other teachers from a Latin American country?
