Hi – I’m heading to Osaka soon and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the city. I’ve heard the Vietnamese community has grown a lot, so I’m hoping to find some great spots for pho, banh mi, or even some regional dishes.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Can’t say whether it’s best, but in front of JR sakuranomiya station there is a little Banh Mi shop that is excellent. Called Banh Mi Win.
There are a few Vietnamese places around Uehommachi. Most of the good pho but it still doesn’t come close to Vietnam in my view.
Following to see if anyone got good tips. Looks like Osaka has a massive Vietnamese community, so there must be some great places!
There have been many Vietnamese restaurants for decades in Osaka, but some of them were probably “localized” restaurants run by Japanese people, meaning the dishes were modified for Japanese customers.
I think at least Home Foods Restaurant near Tamatsukuri station is operated by Vietnamese staff. It has also shop selling Vietnamese food products.
QUÁN CÔ MƯỜI. 2 Chome-8-70 Nanbanaka, Naniwa Ward, Osaka, 556-0011. Small shop just outside Namba station. My friends restaurant. All her recipes are from her families restaurants in Vietnam.
I’ve been to Cam On in Kitahama years about four years ago and loved it. I’d be curious to know how others rank it. https://maps.app.goo.gl/CRVx4ZkcaiL8C4Gp6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy
Edit: I am not Vietnamese and have never been to Vietnam

My personal best so far, they really have wide range of vietnam cuisine tho I like the phos the most and love the desserts. The review counts might not reflect it but if you see a lot of those complaints more about trivial things than the food itself.
Definitely saving this!
Oishi Viet near Namba Station
– Owned & Ran by Vietnamese staff
– Delicious banh mi & pho & milk tea
– A whole section of vegan & vegetarian options
– Very reasonably priced & great menu
Biahoi in Umeda has never disappointed me!
