Buying an apartment in Higashiyodogawa area near Shin Osaka Station – need advise

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing an apartment in Higashiyodogawa area, near Shin Osaka station as a base for sightseeing around Japan and short stays.

Sorry for my ignorant questions as I have not been to Higashiyodogawa part of Osaka. Is this a residential area ? Good neighbourhood ?

General questions like, any things to watch out for buying an apartment in Osaka or Japan in general ?
