I love Japan. There's just something in the slow Japanese movies with no real plot that has tugged my heart for long. I watch endless videos of walking through the the streets of Japan. So, safe to say I love that country.
I have known about JET from the time I graduated college back in 2017. But they were not taking in applicants from my country (India) for a few years. I did TEFL and gained teaching experience in hopes it would open up soon. Years went by I worked in different jobs and now finally have settled in a secure job with good career prospects.
Now out of all time, JET starts accepting applicants from my country. And I am torn between staying in my current job or choosing JET. I am definitely gonna apply considering the chances of getting in are very slim cause I have to compete with technically a billion other people from my country.
I guess I wanted to hear y'all's opinion/perspective or just anything to clear my mind I guess.
P.S. I am not very financially secure so I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to ever visit Japan if I miss this opportunity.
