Hi all, appreciate any replies, sorry for the long post but i think its all relevant. Long story short, gf (Japanese) and I are moving to Japan end of July as her visa is up here. It's all very last minute so I'm in a bit of a pickle and would love to hear if my plan is feasible or not.
Note: I'm over 32, I don't have a bachelor's and its too early for marriage, so I'm limited with visa options.
My current plan is student visa for 12 months to learn the language while also allowing me to do some market research for a possible start up visa application down the line.
So, current thoughts – travel over with her in July on a tourist visa (90 days) while I continue to accrue 150hrs self study required by the schools and ultimately start the application process now/while I'm on the tourist visa. Then when the time comes, fly back to aus for a few weeks for the final submission and visa approval.
Thoughts? Is this feasible? What am I missing?
