Any tips for Goshuin lovers in Kyoto? Looking for special stamps, collection ideas, and pilgrimages!

Hi everyone! I’ve recently gotten into collecting Goshuin (御朱印) and I’m especially interested in finding unique or limited-time stamps in or around Kyoto.

I’d love to know:

  • How do you usually find info about special Goshuin?
  • Any favorite temples that offer beautiful or seasonal designs?
  • Do you have any fun or meaningful ways of collecting and recording them? (e.g., journaling, drawing, photography alongside stamps, etc.)

I came across the Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage (三十三所巡礼) recently and it seems like such a cool way to collect Goshuin while exploring meaningful places. Has anyone done this pilgrimage or planning to do it?

Would love to hear your stories, tips, and inspiration! 🙏✨
