Osaka teen acquires college graduate-level nat’l license for handling hazardous materials

A 14-year-old junior high school student in Osaka, Yoriari Morishita, passed the national exam for Class A hazardous materials engineers, a qualification requiring college-level chemistry knowledge. Inspired by chemistry in elementary school, he studied independently, earning four Class B licenses before passing the Class A exam. His parents, who know little about chemistry, supported his passion, and he hopes to become a chemist who generates energy in the future.
