Hey guys, just wondering what your thoughts are on the possibility of getting a job and moving to Japan as a technician in instrumentation/electrical. I have two associates degrees and 8 years of verifiable work experience.
I’m also studying Japanese and have been for several years on and off as a hobby. If I had to estimate my fluency I’d say I’m at around N4 bordering on N3. I can hold a decent conversation on HelloTalk but still have to look up words semi frequently.
Also I’m 30 no kids so going back to college, while possible, would be a pretty big lifestyle change.
What do you guys think? Should I give up on the dream or do I have a shot?
