8 years ago, I went on my first Japan trip ever together with my best friend.
Crazy how time flies. Since then I have been to Japan 5 times, quit my old job, spent a whole year in Japan while borders for tourism were still closed for a time, bummed about for another year at home, got a new job, moved to a new place…
But somehow, Tokyo has remained the same. Well, not really, it always changes but somehow it still sometimes feels like nothing changed at all apart from social media impacting certain areas.
First time I visited Japan! Now I live here 🙂
I kind of want to go there and just go to the H&M and Uniqlo both of which are also available 10 minutes from where I live lol.
My first trip to Tokyo was 8 years ago. I couldn’t stop thinking about it after I got home. I’ve gone 7 more times since. I told anyone who’d listen about how amazing it was and how they needed to see it once. So I think the flood of tourists everyone is complaining about can be (partly) blamed on me lol.
