Hi everyone! I’m a Canadian currently in Japan and will soon be flying from Okinawa to Haneda, then onward to Seattle. I’m planning to bring a small gift set that includes 2 cans of Orion beer, some packaged Okinawan doughnuts, and candy — all in my checked baggage.
I know alcohol and food rules can vary depending on the country, and I’m entering the U.S. before heading back to Canada. From your experience, is it okay to bring:
• 2 cans of beer (as a souvenir gift set)
• Pre-packaged sweets and doughnuts
I’ve read a bit online but would love to hear from folks who’ve done this before. Did you declare it? Were there any issues at customs? Thanks so much in advance!
