I know this topic has been discussed a lot, but I’m genuinely seeking advice on how to secure a teaching job in Japan from June to the end of August. I’m currently in my third year of university, majoring in History, English, and Education, and I hold a CELTA certification, so I’m qualified to teach English. I’m from Canada, and I should be eligible to obtain a working visa for the summer.
My main challenge is finding opportunities specifically tailored for summer employment. I’ve explored various options—teaching, eikaiwa positions, and even summer camps—but I’m struggling to find roles that align with the summer break period. I understand that the Japanese summer term doesn’t perfectly overlap with the Canadian one, which might complicate things.
Is it feasible to find short-term summer teaching jobs in Japan? If so, could you guide me on how to locate such opportunities or point me toward specific resources that could help? Any advice or insights would mean a lot. Thank you!
