Didn’t see coverage of this event, so thought I’d share some of my thoughts. Unlike my colleague u/EffingKENTA, I’m not gonna rundown the full results.

Azusa Inaba vs Tomoaki Inaba, the battle of the sisters for the JTO GIRLS Championship was a damn good match with the Joshi excellence you’d expect. Azusa, only 17 years old, managed to defeat her big sister to retain her Belt. Afterwards, Azusa would take the mic and declare she sought to take Tomoaki’s position as “Queen of JTO”, setting a rematch for Korakuen Hall on July 11th.

El Desperado was the surprise “X” taking on Aoi of JTO in a intergender match. Aoi put up a good fight, only to eventually fall to the Pinche Loco.

Taichi & Ishii vs ZSJ & Jun Akiyama was awesome! Everything I wanted as you got another Taichi/Zack encounter, as well as Ishii and Akiyama being surly bald bastards. Ishii and Akiyama in particular were out for each others throats. There was a cool moment where Taichi started to give Akiyama the “Kawada kicks”, enraging Uncle Jun. Match went to a time limit draw, leaving me very much wanting to see Akiyama face Taichi and Ishii in singles.

Main event of Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Taka Michinoku had the two esteemed legends turning back the clock, going hold for hold. Tana ended up getting the win with the HFF. Afterwards, Tana said he watched Taka in Michinoku Pro back when Tana was in high school.
-
At the end, Yuya Uemura challenged Tanahashi to a singles match.
