I got my check with the annual leave pay, I was paid for 3 days off in December. It was some weird amount that wasn't even 60% and on top of that, in another space there was an adjustment of -5900 yen!
I asked my boss about this, he just said, that's your annual paid leave. I asked again how he calculated it and got no answer. It's short about 13000.
The labor board said I need to see the rules if the corporation, to see if there some rule that he's only going to pay 60% but that doesn't make sense. If the pay is supposed to go by this rules book then what's the point of having a law. Even my boss was originally insisting he's following the labor standards act and even sent me a copy to prove he was right. There's nothing in there that proves his point tho. I've never heard of or seen any official book or rules regarding this place.
I have to renew my visa in April so I'm not going to do anything until then.
But once that's done, what are the best steps to take to get this resolved? I've talked to the labor board 3 times on their English line and gotten 3 different answers. The last one told me to call another number that's only available during the day Tue and Thurs which I haven't done yet due to being at work and deciding to wait until April. My boss is likely going try and fire me or cut my hours or something. This is why I want to renew first. I have a 正社員 contract with no end date. The contract states annual leave is paid according to the labor standards act.
Thank you
