Making use of remaining time on JET (and in Japan) to support a future Teacher Training course.

I'm a second year JET from the UK eyeing up non-English language secondary school age teaching as a career.

I'm just wondering if there is any advice on how to take advantage of my remaining time on JET to support this goal.

While 2-3 years of ALTing likely wont have much direct cross over with non-language teaching in a secondary school (besides hopefully helping get onto a better PGCE), I'm wondering if there's any thing I can do between now and then to support a PGCE/ future career in proper teaching.
