I understand that to go to Japan to work, I must be hired from abroad and enter Japan with the Work Visa.
My question is
if I get fired or quit from my position while I'm there
can I look for another position immediately, and have my Work Visa transferred to the new place of hire
or do I have to leave the country immediately, if not very soon?
If there is a period of time granted in the case of being fired/quitting, how long is it?
Obviously I don't want this to happen. I just want to understand what I'm risking when I start defying social norms, being the proud wild and crazy USAmerican that I am (and what potential options I have if my position is unsatisfactory…)
