Retro shops? (not antiques)

Does anyone know where I can find retro consumer goods in Kyoto? And to be more specific, I'm not talking about antiques 70s chairs or designer lamps.
I'm in Japan for the 4th time and whenever I'm here I try to find, usually to no avail, kitschy retro stuff from 60s, 70s, 80s.
Im talking about stuff like colourful tins with the Peko girl on them or just anything with really bold graphics like old brand signs, plastic product display units from shops, consumer utilitarian goods that have a distinct bold style, even just crates with retro logos on them that kind of thing.

Are there hs that specialise in that kind of thing? I tried the two big temple markets and didn't really see anything like that.

Any ideas?

  1. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the temple markets but there were quite a few sellers that had retro stuff. Dunno if they disappeared since the markets scaled down after Covid. I thought they would have been revitalized by now, especially with this nonstop massive tourism boom.

Besides that, recycle shops usually have some stuff, some more than others. My memory is a bit foggy but there was this one recycle shop I like that had an entire area for retro, kitschy stuff like that. The owner clearly designed it to showcase that stuff because it was all together in a display. But in other shops you can usually find dishes and cups that look very 80’s.
